1. I signed up but haven't received my user
name and password yet. How come?
It generally takes between 60 seconds
and 5 minutes for the server to process your registration. Your confirmation
(with your user name and password, or a DECLINE) is then sent to the e-mail
address you provided when you registered. If you haven't received
your confirmation within 10-15 minutes, it's most likely there is an error
in the e-mail address you put in the registration page. If the confirmation
gets returned as undeliverable due to a bad e-mail address, there is no
way for us or the server to know what the correct e-mail address is, and
naturally, you won't receive any notification. Please be VERY CAREFUL
when entering ALL information on the registration page. The registration
page SPECIFICALLY states that you will be responsible for any errors in
your registration information.
If you haven't
received your confirmation within a couple of hours of registering, e-mail
webmaster@photonudism.com
and let us know. Do not register again, or you could end up
with more than one registration, and there will be no refunds (however,
we have made exceptions to this rule if you notify us immediately).
It is important that you give us the same EXACT e-mail address you used
when you registered, and if incorrect, to also give us your correct e-mail
address. It also helps us if you give us the name you used, the approximate
date and time when you registered, and the term (30 or 90 days) that you
chose. We can then check on the problem and, if your registration
wasn't declined, we can send you your user name and password.
Please be patient when waiting for
a reply from us, because like everyone else, we can't be at the computer
24 hours a day. There are times when we need to sleep and eat and
take a break like the rest of the world. We generally will reply
within a few hours to within 1 day.
2. I lost my user name and/or password.
Now what do I do?
If you have your user name, we can
find your password immediately. If you don't know your user name,
we'll have to do line-by-line sequential search, as the database is ordered
only by user name. This does take some time, so please be patient.
You'll have to provide us with the EXACT e-mail address you used when you
registered, the name you used, the approximate date you registered, and
the term (30 or 90 days) that you signed up for. Occassionally, we'll
ask you for some additional information to verify the user name we found
(if we find it) is indeed yours.
If we can't find your user name, you
can go to the CCBILL customer service page at www.ccbill.com/contact_us.htm,
or you'll have to e-mail sales@ccbill.com
(or call 602-248-8554) and provide them with the credit card number you
registered with. For security reasons, webmasters do not have access
to your credit card information.
Our best advice - DO NOT LOSE YOUR
USER NAME OR PASSWORD!
3. I tried to sign up, but I was declined,
saying my credit card was on the "Negative Database". What does that
mean?
A. Our credit card registrations
are handled by CCBILL. CCBILL handles the credit card transactions
for THOUSANDS of web sites, and is not associated with Photonudism in any
way other than to process the credit cards. The negative database
is the place where charge-backs/unauthorized credit card transactions are
kept, to prevent fraud. Another reason is that a very popular scam
on the internet is for some people to sign up for access to web sites,
download as many pictures as they can, then contact their credit card issuer
and say they never signed up and that someone must have stolen or frauduently
used their card. CCBILL and the web site is then issued a "charge-back"
from the bank, and then also assessed an additional processing fee.
CCBILL and the web site lose money on every charge-back, so CCBILL "flags"
the credit card (puts it on the negative database), and the e-mail address,
and the IP address, so the card AND user cannot enter any of the thousands
of CCBILL credit card web sites again. Once again, this applies to
EVERY web site that has their credit card transactions handled by CCBILL,
not just Photonudism. If you've surfed the web for any length of
time, you probably already know that almost all web sites (or their credit
card processor) do the same thing.
Our best advice is, if you have a
billing problem, first contact the webmaster of the site and try to work
it out with him/her. If you can't get satisfaction and/or reach the
webmaster, and it's a CCBILL transaction, you can you can go to the CCBILL
customer service page at www.ccbill.com/contact_us.htm,
or e-mail sales@ccbill.com (or
call 602-248-8554) and explain your problem.
If you're on the negative database,
don't bother trying to change our minds. We can't afford to do business
with you.
4. I don't have a credit card, and I used
to subscribe through your 900 number. Where did that go? Do
I have any other choices?
A. Unfortunately,
we had to discontinue our 900 number membership access. We don't
want to make accusations, but to make a long story short, we had problems
with the service, and our subscribers had problems with the service.
However, we do offer through CCBILL the option of ON-LINE CHECKS
(electronic debiting of your checking account).
5. I sent you e-mail, but you never responded!
A. We get dozens of e-mail every
day, and we respond to every one. However, many times our replies
come back to us as "undeliverable", because either the e-mail address is
wrong, or a server in the chain may be down. We do re-send these
returned e-mails a second time. Another problem is many times the
sender uses a "reply to:" address, and this address is often incomplete.
If you have sent us e-mail and not received a reply, check your e-mail
address with someone else and verify it works, and send us another.
We respond to ALL e-mail.
6. I would like to see a members personal photos
section. Do you have plans for one?
A. We now have a
"personals" section. If you're interested in participating, let us
know. If you send us photos or e-mail images, we'll include yours
in the "MEMBERS PERSONALS" section just for members. Naturally,
we would need some kind of affadavit stating these are your photos and
a release to use them. A short description for each photo would add
a nice personal touch also. One IMPORTANT note - this site is also
accessed by people who are not nudists (as most nudist sites are), so your
pictures will be seen by others who are here for the thrill of their own
voyeurism, so make your decision carefully. Please, no suggestive
photos of young children. We reserve the right to reject any image
we deem inappropriate. We do not cater to pedophiles.
7. Why don't your pages
have all the banners and advertising like other sites have?
A. Banners and advertising take up a lot of memory, and thus, slow
down the loading of the pages. We feel our subscribers want to find
what they're looking for as soon as possible. One way to speed up
the loading of pages is to keep graphics at a minimum. We do support
advertising, and this is what our links page is for. In fact, we
suggest everyone check out our links page for web sites that may be of
interest.
8. Why don't your image
pages have thumbnails?
A. Thumbnails take up a lot of memory, and many of our pages have
100 images each on them. 100 thumbnail images per page would take
too much time for the average surfer to wait through for loading.
To keep speed at a maximum, we don't use thumbnails. NOTE:
Thumbnails are coming. Pleae be patient, as we have over 3,000
thumbnails to make (yes, we're adding more pics!).
9. I found a duplicate image, how come?
A. It's possible
it is actually a duplicate, or there may be a "typo" in our image link
on the web page. Like everyone else, we're only human, and we can
make mistakes. At any rate, please let us know as soon as possible,
and we will correct it.
